History

The history of the Nelson Heusi Group began in 1933 by decision of the then President of the Republic Getúlio Vargas, who appointed Mr.Nelson Seara Heusi as Customs Broker for Itajaí, Santa Catarina.

Starting from a solid family base, the company has achieved exponential growth over the years, expanding its areas of activity and business.

In 1947, the second generation of the family joined the company, adding new industrial activities and continuing the growth plan that in 1988 expanded the service capacity to a national scale.

From 2005 to 2011, the company pursued expansion and consolidation goals in new markets and freight forwarding services, investing heavily in technology and road transport operations.

On the occasion of its 85th anniversary in 2018, Nelson Heusi Group restructured its expansion plan, opening new offices and making strategic company acquisitions. In 2019, an office was opened in Manaus, Amazonas. In 2020, Time Log, one of the largest foreign trade companies in southern Brazil, became part of the Group. The state of Minas Gerais also came into focus in 2021, when operational offices were opened in Confins, Betim Airport and the customs offices of the interior of Minas Gerais (EADIs).

The year 2022 was a year full of achievements and progress. New locations were established on the south of Brazil to better meet the needs of customers and stakeholders. The acquisition of new warehouse structures increased the Group's local capacity to 20,000m², divided into four specific units to serve customers with different profiles: E-commerce, Consumer Goods for Fast Distribution and Heavy Machinery.

In 2023, Nelson Heusi Group is introducing a new corporate identity with a new direction for the company's mission and vision, representing all its values and relationship pillars with different levels of customers, partners and employees.
